school design & technology resources - construction kits
These design and technology construction kits have been designed to demonstrate different methods of transmission as well as the distinction between speed and power. Each model contains a clearbox motor that has been designed for use in schools. They have a virtually unbreakable polycarbonate gear case and tough nylon gears. Gear ratios can be altered to show the effect on speed and power of the model . After the kits have been constructed, the main component parts (gearbox, drive train, battery box and switch) can be re-used to make other models.

This kit uses a worm drive to connect the gearbox with the main drive axle. The kit contains al the necessary items, (apart from adhesives, tools and batteries) to construct a single chassis.
